  • Concerned citizens address Puxico School Board about dress code (Local News ~ 04/18/22)
    A group of concerned citizens gathered at Puxico's school board meeting Tuesday evening. The citizens were in attendance to address the board about the district's dress code. There were several in attendance in support of the dress code as well. Some felt the code to be strict as well as had a lot of gray area in its interpretation. Some held signs during the meeting.

    Law enforcement say the suspect in a morning stabbing took his own life Monday morning on a Poplar Bluff overpass, after firing shots at passing cars. Jeffrey Carter, 28, of Poplar Bluff was pronounced dead at the scene before 11 a.m., according to information from law enforcement. ...
