Helen Fay Shipman, daughter of the late Frank Ambraus and Ora Bea Morris Stoker, was born in Dexter, Mo. on Sept. 14, 1920, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Mo. on Sept. 18, 2015, at the age of 95. Mrs. Shipman had lived in Dexter all of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and had worked as a nurse's aid at the Dexter Hospital for many years. She enjoyed to crochet, read biographies and do word find puzzles...

Leslie Paul Lemons, Jr., son of the late Leslie Lemons and Pearl Woodruff Lemons, was born on March 27 1922, in Essex, and died on Sept. 18, 2015, in Brunswick, Ohio at the age of 93. Mr. Lemons was a United States Veteran of WWII and a resident of the Cleveland, Ohio area for the past 50+years, but always loved coming back to Stoddard County to visit family and friends...
