Jesse J. Britton, Jr., son of the late Jesse J. Britton, Sr. and Beulah Britton, was born on Sept.16, 1926, in Dudley and died on March 18, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in Poplar Bluff at the age of 88. Mr. Britton had worked for Barker Salvage in Dudley and as a farmer. Deward "Deke" Philpott, son of the late John and Emily Davis Philpott, was born on Oct. 21, 1944, and died at his home in Aquilla on March 17, 2015, at the age of 70. Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

Elnora Adams, daughter of the late Roy and Ofie Johnson of Canalou, Mo., was born July 26, 1932, at New Madrid, Mo., and died March 11, 2015, at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn., at the age of 82. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Ellendale Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tenn., and a former resident of Dexter.
