Marvin Russell Allen of Dexter, was born July 7, 1921, in Bloomfield, Mo., to Steve and Jenny (Avery) Russell and died Sept. 13, 2012, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 91. Mr. Russell had lived most of his life in Bloomfield and attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church. He worked as an auto machinist for 20 years and a line operator for BMU for 27 years before retiring...

Marion Thomas Billington, a resident of Kevil, Ky., died on Sept. 13, 2012, at the age of 96. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
